If you’re writing your first novel, you’re probably wondering how other writers ever make the time to write.
We’re all busy. We have day jobs, families, therapists, that plumbing issue that keeps coming back. Then, when we finally sit down to focus our minds for a minute, Facebook or Instagram magically pops open from muscle memory.
If you really want to write, there’s one thing that could help.
It’s simple. Get your writing done first.
Every novelist who has completed their first book will tell you the same thing: “I made my novel the top priority.”
Of course, there needs to be a balance. Don’t ignore your family completely for the glory of your manuscript. But, there are ways to cut back. Stay off the internet until you’ve completed your work for the day.
