Start your day with a writing prompt. Wear your pajamas. Sip your coffee. Share your work with a community of writers who are helping to reshape the world from the inside out.
Join us every weekday morning for a very intimate experience. Kathryn Sandow hosts The Breakfast Club, which we began on March 15th, 2020, as a place for artists and writers to connect, to write, to share, and to stay connected in the midst of a very turbulent time. The goal was to create a community that didn't lose focus on their creative goals in the midst of upheaval. The club has evolved into a group of dedicated writers who share their writing each morning, laugh, cry, and grow as artists.
We meet every weekday morning LIVE on Zoom, 8:30-9:10 am PST.
Kathryn Sandow is a writer and painter who has been a member of Breakfast Club since last spring. She spent two decades as an independent literary agent and manager in New York and LA, before retiring to pursue her own writing. She co-authored the book of the musical Esmeralda for the Repertory Theater of St Louis, and collaborated on her first screenplay before family demands necessitated her becoming a caregiver to her parents and in-laws, in addition to being a stay-at-home mom. During that time she did freelance editing and mentored high school and college students looking to improve their writing. When it was time to focus on her own writing again, she joined Al Watt’s 90-Day Novel workshop, which yielded a manuscript that continues to be the inspiration for a series of short stories. She is currently a member of the 90-Day Screenplay workshop. As a painter, her work was most recently represented in Winter Show 2020, a juried exhibition that ran through January 2021, at the Palos Verdes Art Center.
The Artists & Writers Breakfast Club is $40/month with a 7-day free trial.
